After-Care Instructions
Proper after-care is essential to ensure optimal healing and lasting results for your procedure. Please follow the instructions below carefully for each specific area treated:
Eyebrows:
- Keep Dry:
- Avoid getting your eyebrows wet for at least 3 days after the procedure.
- Ointment Application:
- Apply a thin layer of CURAD or Vaseline ointment twice a day (morning and night) for 3 days. One application should be done before and after washing your face or taking a shower.
- Before Exposure to Water:
- Before washing your face or showering, use a Q-tip to apply a thin layer of CURAD or Vaseline on your eyebrows.
- Cover the eyebrows with clear plastic wrap (e.g., food wrap) to protect them from water.
- After Exposure to Water:
- Remove the plastic wrap, gently wipe off the ointment, and reapply a thin layer of CURAD or Vaseline.
- Healing Process:
- Your new permanent eyebrows will initially appear darker and thicker than expected. After 7-10 days, the top layer will begin to scab and shed. The pigment will soften and settle into a more natural look over time.
- Avoid physical activities, direct sunlight, and DO NOT pick, peel, or scrub the area to prevent scarring. Healing takes approximately 2 weeks.
- Restrictions for 7-10 Days:
- No makeup, tinting, or lash/brow treatments.
- Avoid sun exposure, soap, saunas, Jacuzzis, swimming (chlorine pools or natural bodies of water), contact with animals, and gardening.
Eyeliner:
- Ice Pack:
- Apply an ice pack to the treated area for 15 minutes immediately after the procedure to reduce swelling, if needed.
- Ointment Application:
- Apply CURAD or Vaseline ointment twice a day (morning and night) for 3 days. Make sure to do so before and after any exposure to water.
- Keep Dry:
- Try to keep the treated area dry for 3 days. The scabbing will peel off naturally over 7-10 days.
Lips:
- Ice Pack:
- Use an ice pack on the treated area for 15 minutes immediately after the procedure to reduce swelling, if necessary.
- Ointment Application:
- Apply CURAD or Vaseline ointment twice a day (morning and night) for 3 days. Apply before and after washing your face or brushing your teeth.
- Before Exposure to Water:
- Use a Q-tip to apply a layer of CURAD or Vaseline over the lips before any exposure to water.
- After Exposure to Water:
- Gently wipe off the ointment and reapply.
- Keep Clean:
- After eating, wash your lips quickly to avoid infection from food bacteria. Wipe gently and reapply CURAD or Vaseline.
- Healing Process:
- Lips may become dry, and some peeling may occur after 3 days, lasting up to a week. DO NOT peel the lips.
- Avoid seafood, beef, hot and spicy foods, and soy sauce for 2 weeks.
- Lips tend to fade by 40-60% after the initial procedure, but the color will gradually darken over the following month.
